Whether you're a beginner interested in learning a new instrument, or looking to improve your skills, lessons with Foster Music are tailored to each student's goals and interests. I welcome students ages 5 and up, including adults, and offer instruction on piano, drums, guitar, and ukulele. Depending on your location, lessons are offered at the convenience of your home or virtually. Contact me for scheduling inquiries!

Piano (or digital keyboard) is a versatile instrument and a great choice for beginners. Students will get familiarized with the keyboard, learn to read music, play chords and scales, understand basic music theory, and perform favorite tunes.

Whether acoustic, classical, or electric, guitar is a portable instrument to enjoy both on the go and at home. Students will learn string names and tuning, strumming and finger picking, reading tablature and notation, and how to play their favorite tunes.

Drums are a fun way to get your limbs moving and put your coordination to the test. Students will learn the functions of different parts of the kit, playing in time, reading drum notation, and jam along to their favorite songs.

Ukulele is a portable instrument that is great for those who might find its 4 strings simpler than the 6-stringed guitar, and is a favorite among those who like to sing along. Students will learn chord shapes, technique, strumming patterns, and play familiar tunes.
