What we do
We are San Diego's team of music instructors offering quality in-home lessons to students of all ages. Our mission is to foster creativity while equipping students with a strong foundation of the fundamentals of music.
Our instrumental music lessons are tailored to each student's personal goals and interests. We currently offer instruction on piano, drums, guitar, ukulele, and bass, as well as lessons in music theory. Lessons are available for ages 5 to adult, and reoccur on a weekly basis.
Whatever your goals are, we want to help you pursue them while also encouraging you to always be creating and sharing!

Our story
Foster Music is a music instruction school based in San Diego and founded by Rachael Foster, a multi-instrumentalist with over 20 years of experience studying, composing, recording, and teaching music. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at Berklee College of Music in Boston where she was a piano major with a focus on contemporary writing and production. After graduating in 2012, her work with the Chicago Symphonietta led her to Chicago where she began writing music for short films and ad agencies. In 2016, the sunny weather drew her to San Diego where she began her vision for Foster Music - teaching music in a way that inspires students to create and share music that reflects their unique interests and voice. |
